Donald Jonathan Bernardini, MD, received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, N.H. He holds a medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, in Camden, N.J. He completed an internship in general surgery at the David Grant United States Air Force Medical Center and University of California, Davis School of Medicine, at Travis Air Force Base, Calif. Dr. Bernardini completed a residency in anesthesiology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, in Boston, Mass. He completed a fellowship in pain management from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center International Pain Institute in Lubbock, Texas.
Dr. Bernardini is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine.
Prior to joining Bon Secours, Dr. Bernardini was in a large multidisciplinary pain management practice in Austin, Texas. He then served as a pain management physician at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center Pain Management Clinic at Fort Hood, Texas.
