Robert F Brewer, MD Plastic Surgery
Robert Brewer, MD, received his bachelor of arts in biology from Bellarmine College in Louisville, Kent. He earned a doctoral
degree in medicine from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, Ken., and completed an internship and residency
in general surgery at the Oakland Naval Hospital in Oakland, Cali. Dr. Brewer has a second residency in plastic surgery from National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Brewer has over 25 years of plastic surgery and wound care expertise. He has served as the medical director of Bon Secours Hyperbaric and Wound Care Center at DePaul Medical Center for over 5 years. In addition,
he served as a specialty adviser to the Navy Surgeon General,
and also served as an assistant professor of plastic surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia.
Dr. Brewer is a member of the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care, the American College of Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeons, the Medical Society of Virginia, and the Undersea & Hyperbaric Medical Society.
Margarita F Simón, MS, FNP-BC, CWCN, DAPWCA Wound Care
Margarita Simón is a licensed and certified Nurse Practitioner with special certification in wound care. After completing her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., Ms. Simón graduated from the School of Graduate Nursing at Hampton University in Hampton, Va. with her Master's degree as a family nurse practitioner.
Before joining Bon Secours, Ms. Simón worked in a private consulting practice specializing in wound care. She has over twenty years of experience in the nursing field and more than seven years of wound care expertise. She is a member of the American Professional Wound Care Association, the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurses Society, Virginia and Tidewater Councils of Nurse Practitioners, and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
