With the right doctors and technology, we provide the latest in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Among these procedures is the Single Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) procedure. Most surgeries require a three to four inch incision, but with SILS, a single incision through the belly button results in less pain and scarring. Our Physicians:
Anthony D Terracina, MD, FACS General Surgery and Bariatric Surgery
Anthony D. Terracina, MD, FACS, is now part of Tidewater Surgical Specialists and the Bon Secours Surgical Weight Loss Center. Dr. Terracina graduated from the University of Mississippi Medical Center and obtained his training at the nationally renowned Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He then moved to Panama City, FL., where he developed and served as the director of the bariatric program at the Gulf Coast Medical Center and Bay Medical Center. In 2004 he moved to Hampton Roads joining the Weight Loss Surgery Center of Hampton Roads in Newport News, VA.
Dr. Terracina is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Society of Bariatric Surgery and the American Medical Assosciation. Dr. Terracina is also a certified proctor and instructor for Ethicon Endosurgery, teaching other surgeons the technique of minimally invasive surgery.
